Halloween Guessing Game

A tradition at the Halloween Party is the candy guessing game! At our party, it is a competitive sport with adults and children vying  to win the candy.  I have jazzed the jars up this year. I think they turned out darling!

Supplies Needed:

Martha Stewart Crafts Glass Paint Purple Martin

Martha Stewart Crafts Glass Paint Mace

Martha Stewart Crafts Holiday Stencils

Martha Stewart Crafts Glass Patterning Tape

Glass Jars with lids and rings

Candy (I used Mini M&M’s and Candy Corn)

Pick out what stencil you want to use! I thought the bat and pumpkin look darling!

Use the Martha Stewart tape to hold the stencil on the jar. I wanted purple bats to cover the jar! You can dab or brush the paint to cover the painting area. Let the paint dry for a minute and then carefully lift the stencil over the the next area. Be sure to check the stencil for extra paint that may leave a mark on the glass.

I ended up painting 4 bats total.

I love how the bat looks after it dried. I decided to outline the bats in black to make the paint stand out and as a add bonus it will cover any mistakes or flaws in painting!

They just need some candy, now!

We will display the candy jars at the beginning of the party. As the guests arrive they can make a guess for each jar. To make the game harder the guests can’t touch or pick up the jars. People are really good at this game and tend to come close. The person who guesses the closest will win!  Now, who will volunteer to count the Mini M&M candies? There is a lot. I know what I will be doing on my Friday night!
