Cake Pop Maker Review: babycakes

Cake pops are so popular in the party world right now! There are a few different options available to making them at home.  I decided to go with the babycakes cake pop maker for a few reasons:

-cake pops bake in 4 mins
-12 pops bake at a time
-faster than rolling them out of crumbs and frosting

Favorite Things:

Bake 60 pops out of one box of cake mix.

Enjoy the light fluffy taste of cake.

Kids eat the whole thing.
(Perfect for kids that only eat the frosting on cupcakes.)

No crumby cupcake wrappers to worry about.

What to Watch For:

Machine can get very warm to the touch on the outside, so use the recommend hot pad.
Too much batter and your cake pop gets a Saturn look (from the overflow).
Too little batter makes the cake pop uneven.

How much and what is included?

The average price is around $25.
Package includes: babycakes cake pop maker, cake pop stand, 50 cake pop sticks, two-pronged fork.

Tips and Tricks

I recommend dipping one end of the stick in frosting before putting it in the pop then freezing the pops for 15mins.
I use white craft foam for a cheap way to hold the pops upright on sticks while decorating.
Don’t use the green foam. It powders off and can get on the pops.

A Big Thanks
I just need to do a shout out to my husband Danny. He made and decorated the pops  in Ucreate Parties photos. He is a huge supporter of me and everything I do.

  2. Thank you, love the idea! May I ask, where can I buy the cake pop maker, aside from Amazon? And does it work well, as long as we follow your tips on what to watch out for? Many times, fun appliances like these look good in their ads, but don't work well at home. Thank you :-)

    1. I goggled the babycakes brand and it looks like Bed, Bath and Beyond and Walmart sale the product. The pop maker does work well. I use it 1-2 times a month for parties and projects. The only tip I would add is to be sure to spray with non-stick cooking spray. This product review was a lot of fun ( we purchased the babycakes pop maker, and were not paid for the review.) I hope this review helps!
