Creative Guest: This Mommy Loves

Hi there! My name is Jenn and I couldn't be happier that Kari and Jeana asked me to be a creative guest today. I have a brand new blog called This Mommy Loves where I share, yep you guessed it, all stuff that This Mommy Loves! That ranges from crafts, party planning, DIY home projects, activities to do with toddlers, and simple cooking. I'm blessed to have a super 'Handy Husband' who helps me whenever I get in over my head and a 2 year old daughter that I'm crazy about. I love sharing ideas and connecting with other moms. I hope you'll stop by and say hello.

Today, I'm sharing a super easy and inexpensive Thanksgiving Banner along with a free printable so you can make your own!

What You'll Need:

White Card Stock (8.5 x 11 sheets you can print)

Printer

Basic Scrapbooking Paper Assortment (Fall Colors)

Scissors

Twine

Clothespins

ModPodge

How to:

1) Cut a combination of scalloped-edge squares (8.5" x 8.5") and circles (8.5" diameter) out of your white card stock. These will be your cloud backers.

2) Cut your scrapbooking paper in squares (6" x 6") and circles (6" diameter) to fit within your cloud backers.

3) Print out letters in whatever font you prefer on white cardstock. I always tend to use CURLZ font. The secret is to print them inverted so that you can cut slightly around the edges and the print lines will not show on the front side.

4) Now just glue your scrapbooking paper onto your cardstock cloud backer and then glue your letters onto the scrapbooking paper using ModPodge.

5) String the letters of your banner together using clothespins on craft twine.

To make life easier, here's a FREE Printable for the cloud backers and the "Give Thanks" letters.
Just click menu on the slides below and then click on the name of the document. Once you see the document, click on "actions" on the bottom of the screen and download the presentation as a powerpoint or pdf and print. :-)
