How to Make Pumpkin Shaped Cupcakes

I am in full baking mode for a Halloween Party. I made these darling pumpkin cupcakes that are so easy to make! I wanted to share them with you before your parties!

I mixed up a batch of boxed white cake mix and used food coloring to make the batter orange.  For parties I mostly use mini cupcakes because they make so many bite sized treats. I also dyed the frosting orange and green. 

If you want different pumpkin shapes, use a trick my mom taught me years ago!

How to make Different Shaped Pumpkins

Foil balls!!! Cut foil about 1” x 1.5”, then roll into a ball. Place you cupcake line and cupcake batter into the mini muffin pan, then add foil ball to one side. As the cupcake bakes around the foil it will leave the indention adding character to your pumpkins! I did make some cupcakes with out the foil balls.

How to Frost

Cover the cupcake with orange frosting. Pipe with a small tip around the outside and pipe a few lines inside. Break a small pretzel stick in half and add into the cupcake. Pipe a little green frosting for a leaf. Finished!!!!  Simple and fun!
