I’m excited to share todays post with you for two reasons.
1. to share a rockin’ awesome party idea
2. to introduce you to some of my favorite people in the world…the gals in my family!
Last week I invited my mom, sister, SIL’s, aunts, and cousins to a Social Artworking party and let me tell you…it was a BLAST!
You know how there’s a certain craft that you just don’t do. Well, I don’t consider myself an artist or a painter. It’s just not my thing.
Well…when I heard about Social Artworking at a conference I attended, I decided to give it a try!
I. Loved. It…and it was a piece of cake to paint our canvases.
I immediately wanted to throw my own party!
It’s simple…
You pick a design (there are 15 designs to choose from) and I picked the delicious cupcake…
…and you follow these 3 easy steps!
1. Transfer the Pattern
2. Paint the Design
3. Add Fun & Simple Details
We had a wonderful time catching up…
…sharing fun stories…
…laughing…
(this is my hilarious husband who stopped by to eat my finished cupcake canvas! LOL!)
…eating treats (a must have at any party!)…
…and creating together!
I took a photo of everybody’s finished cupcake canvas and I thought it would be fun to introduce them to my fabulous readers and share their creative skills! I love these ladies.
Danielle & Laci (my SIL’s)
Danielle has a talent for stitching, sewing felt food, and has a love for outdoor projects!
Laci loves to build things with wood (she’s the Ana White of our family!) and redecorates her home. It’s gorgeous.
My mom (Patti) & cousin Melanie
My mom rocks at quilting & has always had a love of sewing (and I owe all of my sewing skills to her). Melanie is also awesome with a sewing machine and I’ve seen her make fun crafts with her kiddos!
Roxane and Penny (my Aunts)
Roxane can pretty much make anything! She also ran a boutique and is the queen of scrapbooking in the family.
When I think of Penny, I immediately think knitting! She’s also has some jaw-dropping gorgeous cross-stitching projects.
My one and only sis whom you already know!
Becky is not only a pro of kid’s crafts, she is the go-to gal for all of the vinyl needs in the family. She likes to sew without using a pattern and is the thrifty queen!
Thank you, thank you to my wonderful family for painting with me! Love you!
I also love Social Artworking because you can put your own spin on your art. Notice that no two cupcakes are alike!
